The Blog

IndianSky, founded in January of 2021, focuses on Astronomy Communication. It is an astronomy blog that covers amateur astronomy, radio astronomy, citizen science, astronomy gear reviews, and the influence of astronomy on art, history, and culture.

Authored by an amateur astrophotographer and astronomer, IndianSky articles are research-grade and unique. Here at IndianSky, we try to deliver authentic information and well-researched articles covering various topics related to astronomy.

The Logo

The IndianSky logo is inspired by the Egyptian hieroglyph. It represents the sky – the heavens as a physical ceiling with the edges dropping down, to replicate the illusion of the sky reaching down to the horizon. The black colour represents the night and the hieroglyph represents the sky.

The Astronomer

As men tied to the Earth, we dream of visiting the stars. As men tied to the stars, we will dream of returning home.

Anand Krishna

Hi, I’m Anand Krishna, an amateur astronomer and the person behind the IndianSky. Astrophotography, comet hunting, visual and radio astronomy are some of my fields of interest.

In 2021, I launched IndianSky – a platform where I can share my insights on astronomy with the community.
